Following fire damage to the property and excessive smoke spread throughout, CTC Building Services were appointed as the main contractor to carry out the refurbishment. This included demolition and removal of all fixtures and fittings, structural alterations, replacement drylining, plastering, tiling, amtico floor finishes, full electric rewire, replacement plumbing work including sanitaryware items, Replacement windows, replacement staircase, bespoke fitted wardrobes and decorations throughout. Externally we replaced the driveway and landscaping.
Due to the age of the building there had been previous alterations and movement within the property. This led to CTC having to carry out the necessary remedial works instructed by our structural engineer, then signed off by building control.
For the duration of the project the property remained unoccupied and the homeowners were housed in alternative accommodation. It was imperative that we completed the project within our programmed timescale to prevent additional costs to the insurer and stress to the homeowner. We maintained our programme even though presented with several variations.
CTC Coordinated meetings and were the main point of contact to the client, surveyor and all other professionals involved.
