Overview

Prendergast Vale is a Grade II listed building. The following project has become the centre of a new Learning Village situated in Lewisham, London. This project was completed in 2011 and is one of multiple projects that I managed and completed whilst employed by another contractor.

The project value was £1.4 million and included a complete refurbishment of the listed building where I coordinated the sensitive refurbishment programme both internally and externally.

Internally, I organised the restoration of the Victorian glazed tiles, the structural reconfiguration of the classrooms, restoration of the existing parquet flooring, secondary glazed windows, plaster repairs and a full programme of redecoration.

Externally, I organised the cleaning and repair of the roof, repair and restoration of the original sash windows, supply and installation of bespoke Portland stone pillars and cleaning and repair of all the brickwork.

Due to Prendergast Vale being a listed building, Heritage experts monitored the programme working closely with me approved all the materials being used and installed for the project.
