Overview

Following leak and flood damage, CTC were contracted to investigate the leak and complete associated repairs to the rooftop balcony.

We were instructed to take core samples of the substrate beneath the surface layers, this enabled us to better understand the extent of the damage. We reported any potential issues that may arise in the future, if left untreated. The outcome to the tests was that the roof needed to be replaced in its entirety and not just repaired.

The project included the entire flat roof build-up back to the joists, insulation, and palisade surface tiles. With the help of one of our approved contractors we were able to complete the replacement roof using a Res-Tec system and offer the client a 25-year guarantee on the installation.

In addition to the roof, we completely cleared, and flood tested all hoppers and downpipes,
cleaned and sealed the coping stones, repainted the parapet walls and made repairs to damaged handrails.

Project Issues – long lead times, failed deliveries, and adverse weather conditions.
Therefore, we exceeded the contract duration by 2 weeks but kept the client well informed throughout.
